I know that we mean well when we want to “mend fences” or correct a broken relationship or damaged fellowship but to do so we need to know what the Biblical teaching is. The teaching that I am giving is not something new to us but I feel that a reminder is needed. Remember that I say that the two greatest teachers are the Holy Spirit and repetition. I want to identify the difference between Biblical confession and repentance versus confession that justifies and apology.
